TalkBox gets an exclusive update from fighter & role model, Daniel ‘Twitch’ Franco!

Daniel calls in to give Woodsy & TalkBox listeners an update on his miraculous recovery since suffering a severe brain injury following a prize fight against Jose Haro back in June of 2017.

Daniel talks  about his current health, shares details of his recovery & gets an award from Woodsy!

 

Woodsy opens this week’s episode with Paul Beston, author of the book, The Boxing Kings: When American Heavyweights Ruled the Ring. Beston discusses some of the most legendary heavyweights in boxing history including, Jack Dempsey, Mike Tyson, Joe Lewis and Rocky Marciano.

Then, Woodsy calls current heavyweight, Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller. Big Baby talks about his November 11th HBO debut on the Jacobs Vs. Arias card, his friendship with boxer Adam Kownacki, and his thoughts on taking a knee with Colin Kaepernick.

To round out the episode, Woods talks boxing news with journalist, Steve Kim! Woods and Kim discuss Andre Ward’s retirement news…is it a hiatus or a permanent retirement?!
